About EUSAT UOJ 2026

 The international workshop on “Knowledge and Skills in Agri-Technology Innovations and Best Practices,” to be held on 22nd and 23rd January 2026 at the University of Jaffna under the AGRHI initiative, under the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The workshop serves as a collaborative platform for academicians, researchers, agri-technology experts, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to engage in meaningful exchange on emerging agricultural technologies, sustainable farming practices, and innovation-led skill development. Through technical sessions, experience sharing by agri-entrepreneurs, panel discussions, research and training facility visits, and structured farm visits, the programme emphasizes the integration of digital technologies, research outcomes, and practical applications in agriculture. EUSAT UOJ 2026 aims to strengthen institutional and industry linkages, enhance capacity building in agri-technological education, and promote best practices that support sustainable and resilient agricultural systems across regions.

About University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka

 The establishment of a full-fledged University in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, had been a long-standing aspiration of the people of Jaffna. This was fulfilled when a campus of the University of Sri Lanka was established in 1974 by an order made by the Honourable Minister of Education. The campus became an independent and autonomous University bearing the name University of Jaffna on January 01, 1979.
